Last Friday I received a letter from the OU saying that I am not allowed to study the postgraduate courses M820 and M823, because my course results show that I have not achieved my Honours degree yet. I was totally confused, especially, because the Director of the Master program gave me permission to count the courses M820 and M823 towards my Bachelor degree. Also, I already received the M820 course material.
So I called the Open University and I asked for the reason. Unfortunately, they were not able to sort it out immediately and so my request was referred to the maths faculty. This was a loooong weekend and when I tried to visit the Master course website, the links were already gone - that was quick.
On Monday I received an email telling me that I am still allowed to study those courses and that I was reinstalled. It was a case of one hand not knowing what the other does. Yippee! But (!) I have to register again. Hopefully I'll receive the papers in time, because the courses will start by the end of next week. *fingers crossed*
